Are you a photographer or just interested in photography AND amazed by the northern lights!?

Join me whenever I am out and about on (rather spontaneous) aurora hunts, photographing the northern lights in the region of Tornedalen. You will get all the best conditions for photographing the northern lights and I will show you what settings to use and how to get the best pictures! Just tag along one night by signing up for an Aurora Photo Meetup or book a more planned photo tour for your stay here in advance and enjoy a Personal Photo Excursion!
HOW IT WORKS?
Aurora Photo Meetup: let me know when you are around and I'll get in contact whenever a Photo Meetup is active. This depends much on availability, aurora activity and weather. But if conditions are good enough you will get an alert notice that we may go out one of the coming days and at the day (few hours before) you will receive a last-minute notice with the time and place to meet up for an evening out on the hunt for good aurora photos! Your flexibility is key! No guarantees! We will talk photography and chase the aurora.
Personal Photo Excursion: you let me know on which dates you would like to go out photographing aurora and together we plan a prebooked excursion according to your availability, where you stay, weather forecast and other wishes. On the requested dates we will look for the best opportunities! We go through some of the key photography settings. I will show you in detail how you can get the best aurora pictures in different circumstances and we will go to a few special locations in the area for photographing the northern lights.

Are you around? Sign up for a meetup!
Spontaneous meetups are perfect for you who is in the area and can be flexible with regards to short-term aurora activity, weather, schedule, etc. Aurora Photo Meetups are announced directly to you when the northern lights conditions are favorable.
*No prebooked tour and no guarantee for aurora, but we surely will have a pleasant night out photographing the universe!

Do you prefer a more planned trip for specific dates? Together we put together a tailored, organized photo excursion! Based on specific dates you are in the area, your homestay and aurora long-term forecast!
Full focus on the photography side of chasing the northern lights!
*Aurora guarantee!! Well... one can never guarantee the sight of northern lights, even though it is unlikely to not see any aurora on clear nights up here. But what we can guarantee is that we will plan your tour according to the forecasts and choose the most favorable evening(s) during your visit. We will go to the most favorable spots. And we will do everything in our power to make sure you catch the aurora on photo! If we do not succeed despite this, for instance of weather conditions, sickness, car trouble, in a very rare, strange case zero aurora activity, etc... you will not be charged any fees!

Living at the arctic circle is a dream for Aurora Photography. And I want to share the experience, show the best spots and tips for photographing the northern lights!
Me and my family moved from Stockholm to Övertorneå in the autumn of 2021, to see what life at the arctic circle is all about. We were triggered by the adventure, the unknown and the remoteness, the vast nature, real winters and of course northern lights. For now we enjoy our adventure up here and are spellbinded every time the northern lights show up! It does not get boring indeed!
Since we moved here, I have been out evenings and nights with the aim to photograph the aurora borealis at different places, in different conditions, in all its different shapes. And I keep heading out to hunt for the northern lights. And you can join me! It's more fun when we can share the experience!
